Charlotte’s July 4th Celebrations With Food, Drinks, and Fireworks
Who loves to celebrate the Fourth of July with food and drinks? We do! Check out these holiday themed events that feature your favorite Independence Day classic cookout foods like BBQ, burgers, and hot dogs; drinks; and, of course, fireworks. Enjoy your holiday weekend!
US NATIONAL WHITEWATER CENTER
When: Wednesday, July 3 - Thursday, July 4
What's Going On: A classic event here in Charlotte, and going on its ninth year, the Whitewater Center will be having a Fourth of July celebration featuring typical pass activities, live music, various yoga practices, Battle Royale SUP Sprint, and two days of booming firework shows overlooking the whitewater river. Food and drinks will be served from their restaurant and Biergarten. The festival is free to attend, and doesn't require any tickets for entry.

THE CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS STADIUM
When: Thursday, July 4 from 2pm-10pm
What's Going On: They'll be taking over Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. for a street party leading up to the fireworks show at the stadium. There will be kid's activities, food vendors and food trucks, and live music. The Charlotte Knights will take on the Durham Bulls at 6:05pm, with the largest fireworks show in the Southeast following the game.

When: Wednesday, July 3 at 5 pm
What's Going On: The Charlotte Symphony will be playing patriotic favorites topped off with a fireworks finale show. Bring your own blanket, and pack a picnic. You can even bring your own beer and wine! This would be a great family outing.

MERCHANT & TRADE
When: Thursday, July 4 from 4:30pm - Midnight
What's Going On: An Independence day spectacular event; Red, White, and Boom, will feature Jim Beam & PBR specials, a 4th of July-inspired menu, late night DJs, a viewing of the Knights Stadium fireworks, and live music. There will be a $5-$10 donation required at the door, which includes entry and one PBR.

HEIST BREWERY AND BARREL ARTS
When: Thursday, July 4 from 1pm-8pm, or until they sell out
What's Going On: Heist will be serving burgers, hot dogs, and side items, so you can get your classic Independence Day meal. A viewing of the Skyshow fireworks happening at the Knights Stadium Uptown will take place in the upper parking lot. This is the best way to watch the fireworks without having to deal with all of the crazy traffic and parking issues going on Uptown. Sounds like a good plan to us!

PLAZA MIDWOOD 4TH OF JULY PIG PICKIN' AT THE DIAMOND
When: Thursday, July 4 from 5:30 pm - Until
What's Going On: The 19th annual Plaza Midwood Pig Pickin' is back! The Diamond will be serving pulled pork, hot dogs, and beer outside of their restaurant with live music featuring Female Gibson, The Mannish Boys, and Lipstick on a Pig.

JULY 4TH COOKOUT AT WOODEN ROBOT
When: Thursday, July 4 from 12pm - 9pm
What's Going On: The Twisted Eats team will be grilling burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and bratwursts as well as serving traditional cookout sides. They will be having a special collaboration beer with The Eighth State Brewing Company; Imaginary Analysis Sour IPA w/ Raspberry, Blackberry & Passionfruit.

What's Going On: Their chef will be preparing a cook-out menu featuring American favorites. Everything will be made fresh and in-house, plus they'll be serving cold beer.

4TH OF JULY BLOCK PARTY AT DREAMCHASER'S BREWERY
When: Thursday, July 4 at 1pm
What's Going On: The block party will begin after Waxhaw's 4th of July parade. It will feature local vendors, a bounce house, outdoor games, live music, and food trucks.
